The Xcerts & Snake Eyes @ The Joiners

One of the reasons I love shooting live music is that it’s an easy way to get introduced to bands you’ve not listened to before. I’ve been aware of both The Xcerts and Snake Eyes for a while now, but shamefully I had never really listened to their music before, so to cover this gig for Punktastic was a great opportunity for me to get a good introduction to both.

The Joiners has been a part of many successful artists’ journeys to rockstar levels. It’s seen the likes of The 1975, Ed Sheeran, Green Day, Artic Monkeys and Oasis perform on its stage, and it’s classed as one of the best small independant live music venues in the South, if not the whole of the UK? How lucky I am to be a part of that, and witness the potential ‘next big thing’ on a regular basis.

This isn’t the first time Snake Eyes have graced the stage here. Based in Brighton, they’re not too far along the coast from us here. The Xcerts however are a little further afield, and as far as I’m aware, this was their first time here.

It was a great introduction to both bands, of which both put on great performances. Ones to watch.
